New NID Application As per the current scenario a citizen should apply for Voter ID Card after attaining the age of 16 years. Also those who are above 18 years of age but have not yet applied for Voter ID Card, they should apply for Voter ID Card as soon as possible.

Because after the age of 18 years a citizen needs voter ID card to enjoy various government and private benefits. New NID Application process is discussed in detail in this article.

New Voter ID Card can be done in 2 ways. Apply for new voter directly online using services.nidw.gov.bd website. And fill voter registration form directly by going to election commission office, also can apply to be a new voter when voter is updated every 3 years.

The voter can become a voter after submitting the necessary documents to the election office after being added to the update. The new voter registration has been updated by the end of 2022. If you are 16 years of age, you can apply to become a new voter by joining voter update or online.

What you need to do to become a new voter –

First visit https://services.nidw.gov.bd/nid-pub/
Click on the Apply button
Register account
Provide personal information to become a voter
Print the application form
Submit upazila election office with required documents
Provide biometric information
Collect voter slips

অনলাইনে ভোটার হওয়ার জন্য আবেদন করতে যা যা লাগবে

Must collect these documents before filling NID registration form. Because you are a citizen of this country and you are above 16 years of age, various important documents are required to prove it.

Online Birth Registration Certificate.
Photocopy of ID card of parents or spouse.
Citizenship certificate.
SSC or equivalent examination certificate.
Copy of utility bill ie: electricity bill paper/gas bill paper/rent paper/house rent receipt etc.
Passport/ Teen Certificate/Driving License.
Print copy of application form if completed online application.

After completing the online application, these documents and the printed copy of the application form should be submitted to the concerned election office. Let’s know the online application process.

অনলাইনের ভোটার হওয়ার জন্য আবেদন

To register a new voter ID card online, first visit the National Identity Card official website, then create an account and submit the application by providing the required documents.

Later, the documents should be attached to the print copy of the application form and submitted to the concerned election office. After that, if you appear on the scheduled date and provide your fingerprint and photograph, your voter ID number will be informed through SMS within a few days.

Below is the complete process of online new voter registration step by step:

ধাপ ১ঃ অ্যাকাউন্ট রেজিস্টার করুন

first login nidw website and apply from here account registration Click on this link NIDW Account Register to register account. Then click on “Apply” button for new registration. Then you will be brought to a page like the image below.

From here, according to your national identity card, first put the full name in English. Then enter the date of birth according to the National Identity Card, fill the captcha below and click on the “Submit” button.

Then on the next page there will be an option to put a mobile number, put your active mobile number here. All the updates related to NID will be informed later on the said mobile number.

mobile number and click on the “Send Message” button. After that a 6 digit OTP code will be sent from Nidw, next step enter the code and click on “Submit” button.

After that, a page like the above picture will open, here first put a username. Then set a strong password and re-enter the password. Then click on “Continue” button.

A unique user name must be set, as the same user name cannot be used twice. To be unique, you can add some numbers at the end of your name such as (Abid127809), also mix small letters and capital letters and numbers and set a password of at least 6 digits.

ধাপ ২ঃ ব্যক্তিগত তথ্য প্রদান

Next you will be brought to your profile, from here click on the “Profile Details” button. Then click on the “Edit” button on the right corner of the profile page to edit the information.

From here you have to provide all your personal information respectively. For example: your name in English and Bengali, birth registration number, nationality, date of birth, father’s information and mother’s information. If the parent is dead then click on “Dead” button.

Next is the parent’s information. Here you can give information about your father or elder brother. Next you have to select the marital status. If you are single then select single. And if married fill the rest of the information. Then click on “Next” button.

All other information has to be provided in this step. First select your educational qualification in Bengali, then select if you have any type of disability. After that, if you have three numbers, driving license number, passport number, telephone number.

Then select Religion and click on Address. Note the image below, after clicking on the address, you will be brought to a page like the image below.

From here first select your country, then select the voter address and put the current address and permanent address. Note that the options marked with a red (*) star must be filled. Enter the address respectively and click on “Next” button.

ধাপ ৪ঃ আবেদন সাবমিট করুন

After entering the address and clicking on the next button, your documents will be brought to the stage. But there is no need to submit any kind of documents for online new voter application. So click on “Next” button again from this step.

Then click on the “Submit” button to confirm your application from the confirmation step. Congratulations, your New Voter ID Card Registration Online Application has been successfully submitted. If you want to edit any information before submitting, then you can edit the information by clicking on the “Back” button.

If the application is successfully submitted, it will bring to a page like the above image, from here the print copy of the application form should be filled and submitted along with the submission of documents to the concerned election office. Click on the “Download” button to download the print copy.

Download the print copy of the application form and fill the form correctly by putting the signature of the chairman and member of your area and putting his voter ID card number. After that, add the necessary documents and submit it to the concerned election office.

ধাপ ৬ঃ ভেরিফিকেশন ও বায়োমেট্রিক প্রদান

After submitting the documents to the Election Office, you will be contacted by the Election Office for verification. After the verification is complete you will be called at a designated location to provide fingerprints and photographs.

Present Biometric Information at the right place at the right time. If all the information is correct, the ID number will be informed by SMS from 105 number to your mobile within 15 to 20 days.

নির্বাচন কমিশন অফিসে ভোটার হওয়ার জন্য আবেদন

Even if you apply online, you have to print a form and submit it to the election commission office along with the required documents. If you want to apply to be a voter by going to the election commission office to avoid the hassle of online application, then you have to collect and fill the voter registration form 2 and attach the necessary documents and submit it to the election office.
