Rectification of birth registration online is divided into several steps
- Login to the Birth and Death Registration Website – Website Link https://bdris.gov.bd/
- Go to Birth Registration Menu Birth Registration Data Correction Application option
- Verify birth registration information
- Complete the necessary corrections
- Submit the documents
- Print or save the application form
- Collect the amended certificate from the registrar’s office

You will then be taken to the birth registration information correction application page.

After entering the birth registration information correction site, a page like the image shown above will appear in front of you. If you notice you will see that there are two input fields where the birth registration number should be given in the first one and date of birth should be given in the second cell. After filling correct information click on search button. To correct the birth registration online, the birth registration must be done online.If the information provided is correct, some information of the person will be shown on clicking the search button. Be sure to check the name of the person and the name of the parents on the birth registration.

Next you will get drop-down menu to select the topic of correction. The options in the menu have the option to select almost all the details of the birth registration. Select the one that you have wrong.
If you want to change or correct more than one information, click on Add more information button. Then a new option will be added to edit more information. You will see your name, parent’s name, date of birth i.e. all the information contained in a certificate as a matter of correction.

Enter the exact information you want according to the subject of the amendment. You will get input field to enter correct information. If any information is misspelled, enter the correct spelling. If the date of birth is wrongly recorded, enter it according to the education certificate or national identity card.
If you want to change the address of the place of birth or permanent address information, enter the correct address by ticking the tick box next to it. For selecting the address, you have to give the complete address by country, division, district, upazila, village.

Select the reason why you want to change your birth registration information. Sometimes the name is misspelled or the name itself is spelled wrong.
The information on your national identity card or education certificate does not match. Select the reason that matches the type on your registration certificate. If no match is found, add new information as the reason.
